Being a therapist is inspiring. I love learning from my clients and watching their lives change and flourish. The most rewarding thing is seeing a person walk away lighter, more free, and excited about the next chapter of their life.
I have the natural ability to:
- Explain mental health symptoms in an easy to understand way.
- Inspire hope for getting better.
- Accept people for who they are and the circumstances in a non-judgmental manner.
- Help client work toward healing their past and manage the present.
- Provide empathy and be fully present virtually, even in difficult times.
- Commit to checking in with you as we go to ensure we are on the right track toward positive change.
Much of our suffering is stored throughout our body, leaving us with a racing mind and feelings of stress, anxiety and depression. By approaching healing through a lens that incorporates the whole body, we will work together so you can sustain change and work toward healing. It is important to work within the time you have, taking an integrative approach to working on yourself, and making time to better yourself in all areas of life. Together we will explore the root causes that perpetuate suffering and develop strategies so that you can lead a more fulfilling and joyful life. I welcome you to take this step toward change.
As a therapist, I embrace The following philosophies:
- I believe that therapy should address the person as a whole – their mind, body, and spirit.
- I believe that people underestimate their ability to change. It’s possible to change. It’s possible to enjoy life again.
- I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do.
- I believe that we can stop feeling shame when we share our story with someone who can hear it with empathy and understanding.
